Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached France for an official two-day visit. He was invited by the President of France Emmanuel Macron. He is invited as a guest of honor at Bastille Day celebrations which are going to be held in the Capital. The Bastille Day is celebrated in France on July 14, every year.
As the Prime Minister of India landed in France, he was welcomed by rolling out the red carpet for him. A lavish dinner is prepared for the Indian PM.
Earlier, the Indian PM tweeted that the Indian diaspora gave a warm welcome to him in Paris. He further admired his people for their diligence and hardworking nature.
On July 14, India is going to be a part of a military parade and the Indian Air Force is also going to perform.
India plans to secure a defense deal with France and wants to buy 29 Rafale fighter aircraft. The Ministry of Defense of India said it had also approved buying 3 “Scorpene-Class Submarines”.
France has been the second largest exporter of arms to India. These new defense deals are worth about $10 billion.

Analysts say that the relations between India and France will not be affected by the different stances of both countries over the Ukraine conflict.
France supported Ukraine and had also provided Ukraine with jets to help them in the war against Russia while India had maintained a neutral position over the Russia-Ukraine war and had also bought Russian Oil.
Manoj Joshi told Aljazeera that this difference would “unlikely be an issue”. He further said that this visit will improve the relations between India and France.
Joshi believes that France will also be interested in selling its high-techs in the big Indian Market.
Modi wishes to flourish long lasted relations with France and hopes that this visit will prove productive in this regard.
